Female Empowerment Through Education
Take a look at how the beautiful patterns an colours get on our garments.
The Batik technique describes the use of wax to keep parts of a garment uncoloured. There are two different ways to create patterns on garments: one is applying wax by hand...... the other is using stamps.Mounifa (left) and Elisa (right) show the collection of stamps that are used to create our beautiful garments.Mounifa is mixing the ground colour of the fabrics. After mixing the colouring liquid, the fabique is put in.This is how garments look like directly after colouring. The garment will be white underneath the wax stamps. After drying the coloured garments, they need to be washed to remove the wax. After removing the wax with hot water, the garments are getting dried and are ready to be made in beautiful clothes or other unique goods. When the garments are dry, they are ready to be made in to beautiful clothes and other textile goods. Since every pattern is hand printed, every piece unique.
